It's my last day on this adventure. It's hard to believe that this journey is coming to an end after 2 and a 1/2 months. I woke up early, grabbed a coconut coffee, and decided to join in on the free walking toward the hostel hosts. We saw a series of temples, got some good food, round a bit about the city. It was a really good way to spend the morning. I decided to do a food tour In the afternoon as well. Which led to seeing a few more sites I hadn't seen, some that I had, and eating a lot of really good food. My tour guide was really sweet and we bonded over astrology and tarot cards. After this, I just came Back to the hostel and organized my life while chatting to friends. A car is picking me up at about 8:30 PM and then I will hop on my 1st of 3 planes to return home. This journey has been really incredible for me.
Its wild to see this trip that was only supposed to be only one month has turned into 2 and a 1/2 of the best months in my life. The people that I've met and the experiences have allowed me to see a part of the world that I have an idea about but it now come to love entirely. While it is bitter sweet to say goodbye to this place, I know I will return one day. So for those of you that have followed along on this journey and read these little journals, thank you. I'll be updating my photos action when I return with all of the incredible memories that I've had in this place perand to the people that I've met, I love you,I appreciate you, and I will miss you so dearly. I hope one day our paths cross again but if not, know you've gained a piece of my heart. I've heard it said that when you travel, you will never be completely at home again. Because a piece of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is a price that you just pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place. And to me, this couldn't be more true. While I return home to an amazing life and friends and family that I care about deeply, a piece of my heart Is being left here in Vietnam and Indonesia.
Until next time. Xoxo, Katie.
