After a long pool day in hoi an I hopped on a sleeper bus to dalat. This was a 15 overnight bus. While it's not the best accommodation it is affordable and makes more sense then constantly flying when backpacking. The bus was honestly not too bad after having some drowsy medicine and putting on some tunes. I arrived to dalat early in the morning and got a grab to the homestay. It's a great little place and they let me check in at 5 in the morning so I could come pass out for a few hours in a real bed. After a few hours sleep I woke up and went downstairs to check out the town. I managed to walk down right as a group wad leaving on a motorbike tour around dalat. I had no set plans for the day so I figured why not and got a bike to join the crew. Now I'm not very experienced on a bike but this felt like as good a time as any to give it a go. We stopped at a wide range of locations where we got to really see the production of products in vietnam. We visited the flower villages of dalat, a weasel coffee plantation, a cricket farm, a noodle factory, an incese home, a silk worm factory, and loads of waterfalls and pagodas. It was a jam packed day and I saw so much more of dalat and the surrounding area than I ever anticipated. Especially when i arrived to town at 5 am. When we wrapped up the tour it was about 6pm so we joined for family dinner and gathered with the family of the hostel. A group of us decided to check out the maze bar in town, which is an insane bar that feels like you're inside some kind of trippy Alice in wonderland hobbit hole. You wander through tunnels and up the madness of different staircases through a vast maze. The group made a search for the highest possible point in the maze going through tunnels and through the gardens. It was the most madness of a bar I've ever been to and I'm glad I squeezed it in on this trip. After a late night Bahn mi I came to the hostel to get a good night's sleep before a busy day tomorrow.
